Fairest by Gail Carson Levine is an amazing book set in a far away land known as Ayortha, and follows the story of Aza. Aza knows she is not the fairest of all the women in Ayortha, but she is gifted with a voice. An Amazing voice, that can enchant all who hear it, but when she encounters a mysterious and dreadful gift from the fairy know as Lucinda. Everything changes for her. This gift is a magical mirror. Mirrors are something that Aza hates, she has always hated mirrors. She is always avoiding mirrors, because everyone is always scoffing at her over her looks. One day, her enchanting voice lures in a prince named Ijori and everything begins to fall apart. Because of the vain and cruel queen know as Ivi, who is a very jealous queen that wants to be the fairest of them all. This story will have plenty of suspense, romance, humor, and song.
