April Book Review

The Looking Glass Wars

The Looking glass wars by Frank Beddor is the first book in a series. The main character, Alyss Heart, is going to become the princess of Wonderland, when her evil Aunt Redd kills her mother and father and takes over Wonderland.
Hatter, a royal body guard, has to send Alyss into England through the looking glass, while he ends up in Paris. Alyss has to face living in England on her own. After 12 years in England Dodge, Alyss’ best friend show up and takes Alyss back to Wonderland to defeat Redd so she can be Queen. First they have to go on a journey to the looking glass maze so Alyss can get stronger and kill Redd.

If you enjoy Alice in Wonderland you would really enjoy this book! Alyss and the other characters are really awesome. I like the way the author mixed up the real Alice and wonderland and twisted it up in his own way. The book was really good also, but I didn’t enjoy the way the book was written. The plot was kind of confusing and it jumped around from character to character.

The second book is Seeing Redd and the third book Archenemy just came out.
